Many industry experts predict that we will achieve AGI by the next few years, some say that we will achieve it by 2027. Which means like having a type of species who are intelligence than us. The whole point of the concept of AGI is that, which gets an intelligence by its own by finding more new data by itself that we, human beings haven’t explored before in a very rapidly growing manner. Even if we had those new data about the whole universe we can not adapt that much quickly like computers. Therefore this kind of a revolution haven’t been taken place in the history ever, which means having another species who are intelligence than human beings. We can think that like being in the position of our pets now.
There are many ideologies about the concept. How ever when we narrow down the concept into the frame of enhancing education through AGI, again there’s going to be like nothing else to compete with this.
If we deep down into the problems we have in the current education system, one is that the school is designed to educate many students at once, thereby there is teacher who teach the specific subject. Here when some children catch the subject very well some students get lost into a world with no help to come out an perform well like others. By that those students get influenced to drop out, getting into other paths which will lead there entire life into a darker side because of that instance. Many research have found that the main reason for this is, the teacher only focus on a group of children that thinks there intelligent so that the students think also and achieve it as expected, while dropping some students without focusing on them that showing them that there not well intelligent enough to learn, and so the students think like that and get out of the track. So the main reason is with the teacher who groups children and since it’s a though of there teacher the students believe the teachers opinion very strongly. But theres no such thing as the students who are intelligent enough to learn a specific subject and others can not!. When we look the concept of Multiple Intelligence there are nine multiple intelligence in every human brain located in different levels, by that how much he can perform changes according to the mix of his Multiple Intelligence. By that understanding each students MI capacity, the teacher could teach any thing according to his specific teaching style and capacity. But when we look practically, the teachers are also human beings so the majority is not able to perform like that.
And thats where we see the true potentiality in Artificial General Intelligence. This animal knows more than us and he evolves much faster in terms of intelligence. So if we could use an AGI to teach each child, the probability of having over 99% of people educated is for sure.
Just imaging very practically, can you really ask the questions you want from the school teacher and get the exact thing you want to know by understanding the importance of that knowledge in a practical use case, the answer for the majority is NO!. Practically as humans the teachers also can not do that.
But Education is not about memorizing and knowing facts about the subject. Education is much broader than we see as it is. Memorizing is just a part of it. True education comes with curiosity, which is the nature which brought human beings up to the present level, and the main thing taking down through the education system to create rats for the race.
Artificial General Intelligence could help students learn any thing, discover new knowledge with guidance and knowledge bases of AGI, students can learn any time – any where with no limits and boundaries towards the access for education.
True education will be not able to take from school, university and even from books. True education always will be within us which is the courage of exploring new things, creativity, curiosity and experience.
Now think some thing different from what we thought now. How does AGI learn?. It has all the data available in the world, it has a large computing power and it has been designed to use them efficiently and build new knowledge bases on top of the experience that they have taken place within the data we have initially given. Humans could learn how to learn by looking at a more intelligent animal and be educated through the AGI itself.
Still we can not predict how this will be, it will be a good Utopia or like a sci-fi movie, a dystopia!. If it happens in a good way, this is the best gift that human has ever presented to himself and going to lead everything for the sake of good which will take us to the next level.
